Day in the Life of an Intern

Working within the team

As an intern, you will be working within a dynamic team of Business Managers at our Glasgow office. This is the perfect opportunity to build on your teamwork skills and collaborate with other professionals in the financial services sector. Interns can liaise with other teams, such as Compliance and Finance to gain insight into practices across the business.

Building your knowledge

Daily duties of an intern include working closely with financial advisers to support their clients, management of paperwork and letters of authority, project work for our client management system (Intelliflo), maintenance of the client review process, and correspondence with 3rd party providers such as M&G Wealth, Quilter, and Prudential. You will also gain hands on experience of working in an office environment and will assist with the associated duties of daily running of the office, such as incoming and outgoing post, greeting clients, and answering telephone queries.

Industry experience

During your internship with Advanta, you will benefit from working alongside highly skilled Paraplanners, Independent Financial Advisers, and Business Managers who have a wealth of knowledge to share. You will have the opportunity to use different Platforms to manage products, including SIPPS, ISAs, GIAs and Bonds whilst also using tools such as Cashcalc, FE Analytics, and Aveni.
